Meet Mr. Poppen |
This will be Mr. Poppen's sixth year here at MVCA. He loves the outdoors and spending time in them with his family. He and his kids love to camp, bike, hike and play sports. Mr. Poppen has taught for eighteen years. A lot of that time has been at the high school level and in the brick and mortar setting. He taught at an online/blended school for just over a year before coming to MVCA. In coming to MVCA, he had his first experience teaching in the middle school and loved it! He has taught many different levels of math and so brings that knowledge into his teaching of mathematics at the middle school level. Mr. Poppen loves math and gets a kick out of teaching math to his students. He loves it when students are successful in mathematics and also develop that same passion for it. Mr. Poppen enjoys to work with students to really understand mathematics and the concepts behind it, not just how to do it. He looks forward to a great year in mathematics this year with his students.

Meet Mrs. Saddler |
This will be Mrs. Saddler's eighth school year here at MVCA. She and her husband enjoy spending time outside with their daughter, Emma, and two dogs, Rockwell and Callie. Mrs. Saddler has taught for fourteen years, mostly in middle school math. She is passionate about teaching students and helping them develop a love for math as well as an understanding of math. Mrs. Saddler loves showing students how they will use the math that they are learning in the real world, after the text books are put away. She loves helping struggling students really understand the curriculum and leave at the end of the year confident of their abilities. Mrs. Saddler loves making math come alive for her students and helping them figure out new ways to think about these concepts. Please let her know if you have any questions!!
